So these are my bags. Not too bad considering I'm gonna be gone until August. I just hope I have enough room for gifts :)
And this picture was taken on my new camera (whoot VVVVV)

My old one (which I loved because it was pretty blue and took great pictures) decided to stop working 2 days before I left. Great. So I took my camera to Best Buy preparing myself for the worst. And it was a miracle, I tell ya. The Geek Squad guy (who I love btw) went to talk to his manager and came back telling me to just go exchange my camera for another one. You have no idea how happy I was. I was not looking forward to paying for a new camera.
So yes.. I love my new shiny red camera :) Inshallah It won't explode or something while I'm in Spain.. that would really kill my happy mood.
Hmmm. So I leave tomorrow. Since my life is on standby there's been a change of plans. Instead of flying into Madrid (which is crazy busy for some reason) I believe I'll be flying into Portugal and then connecting to Madrid. Should be interesting. I've always wanted to go to Lisbon and I like listening to Portuguese.
And now for my fears of being in Spain (besides for my camera exploding):
- Being a shy loser and not talking to anyone, therefore not improving my Spanish or having a good time
- Failing at Spanish. I haven't had a Spanish class in a year. What if I forgot everything? And do the people in Seville have really hard to understand accent, cuz accents always throw me off.
- the food. Apparently Spaniards love their ham. I hope there's some food out there that doesn't have ham/pork/bacon/sausage in it. I might have to go vegetarian for a while.. but I can handle that.
- Schoolwork being hard. I keep forgetting that I'm actually going to be STUDYING in Seville. Emphasis on studying. I'll be in school in a foregin country and it could be really hard (especially since I'm taking an extra class)
- Having a weird roommate/uncomfortable living arrangements. I'm not really sure what to expect, so... I guess I'll just have to hope for the best.
- the HEAT. I hear it can get really hot here. Like 110/115 degrees. I just need to get used to sweating. ew.
Tomorrow shall be a long lovely day at the Philly airport. Then off to Lisbon/Madrid/Seville iA.
