Hola Todos!
I´m still in Madrid, writing this from un locutorio (internet cafe).
We´ve been pretty busy! Considering I´ve only been here for 2 days, I feel like I´ve done so much!
Yesterday we went to El Palacio Real de Madrid. It´s the old palace for the monarchy of Spain. Pretty cool stuff. There was some really elaborately decorated rooms which were beautiful. No pictures allowed inside though :(
After our lunch of paella and flan (sooo typical) and our Siesta (loving those!) we went to museo del Prado. There were tons of masterpieces from people like el Greco, Goya, and Velazquez. It was awesome, but again no photos allowed :(
Today we visited el Escorial, a palace/monestary thingy outside of Madrid. It was really beautiful and had a very interesting history. We saw the tombs of all the royals! No pictures allowe inside.. again :(
I´ll try to upload some pics as soon as I can, but it probably won´t be until I get to seville.
Tonight there is a soccer game we´re going to watch at some restaurant. And tomorrow morning we leave for Toledo, then cordoba, then finally Seville!
I hope you all are enjoying your summers!

Hi there sweetie, I found your blog!I'm so excited for you and am glad you're planning on living in the moment. It'll be great if you can be fluent when you come back, but if you're not, we'll still love you anyways ;-)
num num. sounds delicious lol.
How is the temperature?
Can't wait to see the pics :)
Hi Suzanne! (Emphasis on the final e) I Googled Al-Andelusion (cuz I didn't know what it meant) and found your Blog at the top of the results! Cool!! Can’t read too much from work so I’ll check out your blog tonight. What is the time difference?
We're 6 hours ahead :)
And actually there is a walmart-like store called corte ingles. But without the walmart prices.
And as far as temperature Madrid wasn't that hot. It was perfect and nice and cool at night. The south of Spain is noticably hotter but so far it's not near unbearable. I've been in hotter places. I believe the average temp for Seville this time of year is like 93 degrees or something. I'm sure it's going to get hotter but I've been preparing myself for a while.
What, no tacos???! Hee Hee!
