really get to see much of the city yesterday so it was nice to be able
to see everything on a lovely Saturday morning.
I must say that I think I'm in love with sevilla. Just riding my bike
and looking around I found myself in awe of my surroundings. Such a
mix of cultures. A juxtaposition of old and new. It reminds me of a
lot of places but I've never seen anything like it before.
I'll try to describe it in words but you can't appreciate it until you
see it in pictures. Even pictures won't do it justice. (but I'll try
to get some up soon anyways).
There are fountains and statues and gorgeous buildings. There's plazas
and parks and the beautiful riverbanks. There's historical places and
museums but there's also shopping malls and commercial areas. Orange
trees line the streets and people take the time to enjoy themselves.
It's hot. But not too hot... Yet.
Out of all the places we've visited so far in Spain I like sevilla the
most :)
Tomorrow we have a free day and hopefully I'll get some serious
picture taking done. I tried to while on the bike but that didn't work
out too well.
Monday we visit the university and the huge cathedral. Tuesday is our
first day of classes! I'm kind of excited to go to school. Mostly
because I'm a loser but also partly because I want to meet some more
people. Don't get me wrong... The girls in my group are great and
we've definitely had some bonding moments, but we need some fresh
meat. I also can't wait for our other roommates to come back so they
can show us around.
And for those of you wondering how the food is, well home cooked food
is awesome. Rosa is a great cook although sometimes it's a bit awkward
eating with her and her family. At least we get to practice our Spanish. So far we've had stuff like chicken and rice, Chinese food, omelettes and lots of veggies. Everything is smothered in olive oil which is fine with me :) And they are so sweet about the whole not eating pork thing. I really appreciate that.
Anyways I think that's all for now. I really appreciate you all commenting ... It makes me feel loved :)
Until next time.

Aww, Rosa sounds so cute! The internet at my house got disconnected so that's why I haven't been stalking you as adamantly as I would have otherwise darling.
I can't wait to see pics; you paint such a beautiful picture of what it looks like.
I'm glad your roomies are cool though.
